So far so good.
"They" say it takes six weeks to create a habit and so far I have created 2 (and a half).
Habit One:
I have been following the Weight Watchers plan since the 1/1/11 and as of last week (I haven't weighed myself this week) I have lost 11lbs. Super exciting for me!!! And since I signed up for the Canyon County Weight Loss Challenge I have been going to the gym at least three times a week. Workouts are crazy. I met up with a trainer for a free consultation and he killed me, since then I have pushed myself harder then I thought I could. I leave the gym nasty, sweaty, achy, and happy. I am really proud of me, but since it is only been three weeks I'm not counting it as a full on habit yet. ;)
Habit Two:
I have also read eight books (in six weeks), not too bad for a mother of an almost two year old.
I have received some great recommendations from my students (5 of 8), my friends (1 of 8), and my book club (2 of 8), but I want more. Habits to Work On:
- I need to write more--That is why I am really trying to make this blog work. I write at school a little bit (usually during my creative writing class), and sometimes at home, but I feel like I need to write more.
- More Family time-- I feel guilty working out after school, because it gives me less time with Alice, but Brian assures me that I make it up to her.
- Take things Easier-- I was doing great(ish) until today. Once again my co-workers won't do their jobs right and follow the stinkin' rules and therefor I am the loser/goody-goody that complains about everything. I'm realizing this is a damn hard goal to keep. ;)
- Scrapbook more-- Haahhhaha haven't even started yet
- Learn to play the Guitar-- Not even a chance
